After years of searching and exploring, I finally discovered a nice cafe in Barcelona.
I passed by a dozen times and made a mental point to try it. Then a friend invited me for a coffee extolling this “nice cafe” in Passeig de Sant Joan.
In the past four years, I have lived in Barcelona, I have seen this “Passeig” (or avenue) turn into a trendy going out area with great places. I got curious.
I had no idea she was talking about the place I intended to try. But then we got together in Granja Petit Bo. Surprise…
A nice cafe in Barcelona called Granja Petit Bo
It has a fantastic location. It is situated five minutes away from Verdaguer Metro Station on Passeig de Sant Joan.
From the exterior, I enjoy how this cafe looks with the white inscription at the front and inviting door windows that open into the street.
At brunch or lunchtime, there is always a queue to get in. That is how popular this place is. Fortunately, I have never waited too long.
The decor inside & the food
It is decorated in a vintage/industrial style. The eatery is luminous, simple but warm, with a large wooden table near the windows. On the side, there are also sofas, including old leather ones.
Finally a nice cafe in Barcelona with comfortable sofas I can sink into! I have been lucky. They have always placed me on those sofas. I particularly like the red one.
I also like the jug with a lovely bouquet next to the sofas, as well as the lights and wall mirrors.

The brunch meal is usually delicious, simple and tasty like my scrambled eggs below. I really enjoy the smoothies too, healthy and made with natural ingredients.
I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered here.
Should you eat here?

Overall, Granja Petit Bo offers a great location, nice decor, comfortable sofas, delicious cuisine and smoothies, reasonable prices and soothing music.
Generally, the service is pleasant. I have only encountered one problem once. The waitress was annoyed that I stood up to pay at the register rather than at the table. What the big deal was, I am not sure. Aside from that, I have no complaints.
Here, you cannot sit with your laptop and work your way. It is, in my opinion, a positive aspect. It allows you to disconnect and enjoy the present! I like this little place very much. I hope you will try it too.
