Festival Circorts 2023, a Fun Circus Festival in Barcelona

There is a fun circus festival in Barcelona this weekend!

Tomorrow is the last day, but as only one of the planned events requires booking, you can still spontaneously decide to go and have fun alone, with friends or with your family.

About this circus festival in Barcelona

Circorts 2023 is a circus festival in Barcelona. It runs through this weekend and has been on since Friday 16th.

Tomorrow, Sunday 18th, is the last day with several shows on offer. The last one is at 20H30 so you still have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the festival.

The entrance to the festival is free. However, one of the shows, Cabaret, requires booking tickets because it happens under a circus tent with a maximum capacity of 200 people.

During the festival, you can enjoy jugglers, acrobats, clowns, music and poetry. It is also possible to attend some circus workshops open to all public. You can find the complete program here.

The space

There are three dedicated stages for the circus in Plaça de les Ceramiques Vicens: Bosquet, Guingueta and Gran. The workshops are organised in Jardins. In Guingueta, you will also find some foodtrucks.

Post edit – I went to see “Cabaret”

Fun Circus Festival in Barcelona

I went to see “Cabaret” in the new dedicated space, La Carpa. The sun was high and it was too hot so being under the tent was ideal.

In one hour, there were 4 acts. One from the presenters of “Cabaret”, a couple of modern clowns that then entertained the public, introduced each act and ensured the transitions between the differents shows. Their sense of humour was easily understandable by kids and adults. I won’t say much not to spoil the event as there are still two Cabaret sessions tomorrow.

The show was fun and light with some real quality circus acts even though quite short. It was a very pleasant time to spend with family and kids.

As mentioned it was a quite modern and more contemporary show as well with an amazing selection of artists.

If you miss this edition, do not worry, it is an annual event.
