Classical Music on the Beach (Clàssica a la Platja) is a great initiative combining Barcelona’s opening to the sea and its classical music offerings.
How the project was born
The Liceu Opera Barcelona, the Palau de la Música Catalana and L’Auditori Barcelona have come together in a unique initiative, Barcelona Obertura, promoted by Barcelona Global to make the city the best destination for classical music lovers from all over the world.
Barcelona Obertura selects the best concerts and musical productions from the three venues and groups them in special packages, offering an exquisite experience.
Reserve the evenings of the 20th and 21st of June
Under the initiative of Barcelona Obertura, the Liceu Opera Orchestra and the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra will therefore offer two concerts open to the public on Bogatell Beach on the 20th and 21st of June.
Classical Music on the Beach (Clàssica a la Platja) is a unique opportunity to enjoy an event like this in a spectacular location. The concerts will also be available live on Betevé, and replays on CaixaForum+.
The Liceu’s Symphony Orchestra is composed of 86 musicians, currently conducted by Maestro Josep Pons, and is the oldest orchestra in Spain.
