3 of the Best Rooftops in Barcelona

This post about the best rooftops in Barcelona is a live post in the same spirit as “the best place for a flamenco show in Barcelona” or “first spot for the best beach days in Barcelona”. I plan to add more addresses once I have explored more rooftops.

There are a few essential things to do in Barcelona to fully live the city. One of them is having a drink on a rooftop.

Summer is ending. And we have experienced some awful weather lately. However, we still have a few bright and sunny days ahead. Do not hesitate to check out some of the addresses I have listed below.

The Wittmore Hotel’s rooftop

Best rooftops in Barcelona – The Wittmore Hotel

The Wittmore is a boutique hotel in the Gothic Quarter. The hotel is luxurious and stylish. I booked a table to catch up with a friend just in case, rooftops can be crowded.

When we arrived, the rooftop was deserted – more guests arrived afterwards. Some would love more atmosphere.  We loved having our exclusive oasis in the middle of the city buzz.

It has stripy white and yellow comfy sofas, a swimming pool (for hotel guests only) and stunning views over Barcelona. You can see Montjuic, the sea and the roofs of the city.

The cocktails are nice. The food is simple but refined. The staff is super friendly. A great combination for a relaxing moment with family or friends.

The rooftop at Sir Victor has a different style and vibe from the Wittmore Hotel. They are both located in the city centre and feature a swimming pool.

The first time I came to this rooftop, I was on a girls’ night out. It was the perfect spot for our pre-drinks. The cocktails are delicious, although a bit strong. Every time I come, the rooftop is busy. The place boasts a fantastic lounge ambience with great music. From there, you can admire Casa Mila and La Sagrada Familia. The staff is also friendly.

I don’t know how the food is. However, the rooftop is a great spot to have a drink and spend time with your friends if you are in a party mood.

I love the Pulitzer’s exotic atmosphere created by its lush vegetation, delicious cocktails, and gastronomy inspired by street food. It is quite a trendy spot.

From May to the end of October, you can enjoy musical sessions (#BuenasTardesPulitzer) with great bands and DJs from 18h to 23h on the terrace.

The Pulitzer rooftop is the first terrace I visited in Barcelona. My favourite event is on Wednesdays when they have live indie gigs from the domains of pop, electronic or funk on stage. On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, a DJ and some local collective sessions are performing.

Entry is free. The terrace has limited capacity. The first to come is the first served.
