Post Edit: We went “de Tapes” in Sants
We went “de tapes” in Sants, an expression that means we went for some tapas. The map is spreaded out, so we picked one area and chose to go around Sants. We tried 3 different bars: La Revoltosa, Bodega Salvat and la Bodegueta de Sants. Both la Bodega Salvat and la Bodegueta de Sants are in the same spot in Carrer de Sagunt.
In La Revoltosa, we had the Taco Revoltosa, a taco with cochinita pibil. It was tasty, and the beer served in a glass. The restaurant has outside tables and even a terrace on the streets.
Address: C/ Daoiz i Velarde, 15, 08028 Barcelona, open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 18 to 24h. Mobile: 693970686
In la Bodega Salvat, we had a bao with meat and a cucumber sauce. Here, I was a bit disappointed because we did not really have the “quinto” beer size but a small glass of beer. No bother, it was still enjoyable, and the bar had a pleasant and very local atmosphere.
Address: C/ de Sagunt, 51, 08014 Barcelona, from Monday to Saturday, from 9 to 22h. Sunday from 9 to 16h. Phone: 930114622
In la Bodegueta de Sants, we had “la torrada de la Bodegueta”, pan de pagès – a traditional Catalan bread – with butifarra sausage, one pimiento del Padron, and allioli. The tapa was generous, delicious (on the photo), and we had a proper “quinto” bottle as opposed to drink served in a glass. I prefer to drink from the bottle, but it is a question of personal taste. Our experience here was the best. And insider tip: they decided to keep the offer until July 15th.
Address: C/ de Sagunt, 49, 08014 Barcelona, open from Monday to Friday, from 18.30 to 23 h. And Saturday to Sunday from 12 to 23 h. Mobile: 607536735
