Summer in Barcelona is a fantastic time for street parties!!! The Fiesta de Sants 2022 is on this week and will last through August 28.
Similar to the popular Fiesta de Gràcia, many streets in Sants are decked with whimsical and theme-based decorations.
The Fiesta de Sants 2022 also offers numerous activities for kids, families and the general public with children’s games and workshops, street bars, live concerts and shows, food, etc.
The decorated streets of the Fiesta de Sants 2022
Below is a visual map of the Fiesta de Sants 2022. There are 11 decorated streets in the neighborhood.
As in the Fiestas de Gràcia, there is a competition between those 11 participating streets. The winners are by order:
- Calle Alcolea de Baix – theme: Biblioteca perdida (about a lost library)
- Calle Finlàndia – theme: El Pequeño Principe (about Saint-Exupery’s little Prince)
- Plaza de la Farga – theme: Cavas (about Cavas)
- Calle Alcolea de Dalt – theme: Apolo X
- Calle Sagunt – theme: Opera
- Calle Vallespir de Dalt – theme: El Maravilloso Mago de Oz ( about the Oz Magician)
- Calle Papin – theme: Modernismo (about modernism)
- Calle Valladolid – theme: Decorado reivindicativo (about activism)
- Calle Guadiana – theme: Viaje por el mundo (about travelling around the world)
- Calle Vallespir de Baix – theme: Homenaje a Rafaella Carrá (about a tribute to the singer Rafaella Carrá)
- Calle Robrenyo – theme: Las Vegas
